WAEC closes their offices because of Coronavirus

After Coronavirus has spread, the West African Council of Examinations, WAEC closes their offices in the region.

In this regard it was announced that, from Tuesday, 24 March 2020, visitors will not be allowed to enter their offices nationally.

Moreover, WAEC has announced that some workers have been assigned the fundamental tasks to accommodate WASSCE applicant during registration for 2020.

In a statement to these effects on Monday night, WAEC Head of the national office for Nigeria, Patrick Ehidiamen Areghan, told the general public to use the online channels available for inquiry.

In the light of the global Corona Virus pandemic (COVID-19), The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Nigeria has followed international protocols, including the recommended health and safety measures by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), for social distancing and keeping the work environment safe for staff and stakeholders.
