How to preorder the PS5, when available again

The competition is mad crazy, but there’s a way to get it

Sony’s PlayStation 5 will be launching on November 12th in the US pricing from $399.99. That price will buy you the digital edition of the console which doesn’t have a Blu-ray disc drive. If you want a disc drive for playing disc-based PS5 games, 4K Blu-ray movies, and PS4 games that may end up being compatible, you’ll need to go for the higher version of the console that has sells for $499.

Preorders are now available, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be get one. The stock that was available at retailers like Amazon, GameStop, Best Buy, Target, Sam’s Club, and Walmart came and went incredibly fast. It’s been a whole fiasco. Some stores have preorders in stock down the line so you might want to check back from time to time to see if you have any luck.

To keep you posted on when it’s fully available, we’ll try to updated you with news of more stock coming to retailers — like how Walmart just added another batch of pre-orders at 6PM PT / 9PM ET.

PlayStation 5 (with disc drive): Amazon, Walmart, GameStop, Target, Best Buy, B&H Photo, Sam’s Club
PlayStation 5 (with disc drive): Amazon, Walmart, GameStop, Target, Best Buy, B&H Photo, Sam’s Club

PlayStation 5 (digital edition without disc drive): Buy on Amazon, Walmart, GameStop, Best Buy, Target, Sam’s Club

Note that stock has been selling out very quickly, so on the off-chance you get a console in your cart, I highly recommend placing the order.

Huawei MatePad 5G lunches: A Kirin 820-powered version of the MatePad 10.4

The Huawei MatePad Pro 5G is a high-budget tablet with next gen connectivity, starting at CNY 5,300 ($785). The MatePad 10.4 is more affordable, CNY 1,900 ($280) for the Wi-Fi only option. Halfway point between those two lies the new Huawei MatePad boosts a 5G options.

The Huawei MatePad 5G increases on the MatePad 10.4 released earlier this year.

Though it looks same to the 10.4 model, however it upgrades to the Kirin 820 chipset. This brings with it a 5G modem along with Wi-Fi 6. Compared to the Kirin 810 of the other tablet it comes with two Cortex-A76 cores (four in total) and a more powerful Mali-G57 MP6 GPU (up to 30% faster than the G52 MP6). It has just one memory configuration for this slate, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage. Which can be expandable via a external microSD card.

In addition to the Chipset, a few more similarities exits than differences. The MatePad 5G has the same 10.4” IPS LCD panel with 2,000 x 1,200 px resolution. It houses the same same 8 MP front-facing camera, on the opposite sides is another 8 MP cam. It houses speakers around the perimeter along with four microphones.

For charging, the USB-C port, which serve as a double duty as the wired headphones port – the 3.5 mm jack has been dropped (at least you get a Type-C to 3.5 mm adapter in the box).

Huawei MatePad 5G

This tablet is compatible with a couple of key accessories – a hardware keyboard cover and the M-Pencil stylus. Since the slate runs EMUI 10.1 (based on Android 10, no GMS), it supports Huawei’s desktop experience, which can turn it into a compact laptop replacement.

The Huawei MatePad 5G can already be pre-ordered from Vmall.com at a price of CNY 3,200 in White and Gray.
