iPhone SE 2020: Specs, Price, Release Date

iPhone SE 2020

iPhone SE 2020 General review

The new iPhone SE 2020 is here and it has everything to be one of the best telephones for your money. Particularly if you’re interested in a smaller handset. Yeah, the iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2 isn’t referred to this. The iPhone SE is just the latest inexpensive model.

iPhone SE 2020 will be sold at €399, to replace the iPhone 8 and it comes with a powerful A13 Bionic chip, a Retina 4.7-inch screen, a touch-identified sensor and a wireless connection for charging. And although there is just one front and rear camera, they are enhanced by the machine learning tricks from Apple’s software to take portraits.

The iPhone SE 2020 contains other awesome functions, which will also be enjoyed at this amount.

There is no Face ID, there is no box fast charging and no camera night mode. But the latest iPhone SE in general seems to be a success and one of the better affordable phones. Everything you need in a smartphone is here.

iPhone SE 2020 Price and Availability

As was seen in Apple platform, the iPhone SE has 3GB of RAM and a battery of 1,821 mAh. Officially the current iPhone SE replaces the iPhone 8 in the Apple lineup. And the iPhone 8 Plus is now thing of the past.

The iPhone SE is available from 8 a.m. ET/5 a.m. PT on April 17th for pre-order, and costs $399/ £419. The iPhone SE will be released on 24 April. In Nigeria it should be 154,500 naira.

Layout and colors of iPhone SE 2020.

The new iPhone SE screen is 4.7-inch which is similar to the size compare to that of iPhone 8. Currently, in Apple’s lineup, the current iPhone SE replaces iPhone 8. There is also a common touch-ID button under the screen to open the smartphone and make app-downloads, and use Apple Pay. The smartphone is made of aluminum and glass.

The iPhone SE 2020 comes in three simple colours: black, red and white. Apple claims it uses a paint filter of seven layers to create a perfect shade, with the aluminum strip suited to the colour.

One advantage to be pleased to see at this price is that the iPhone SE has a water resistance rating of IP67. This ensures that the handset would be able to survive for 30 minutes in 1 meter of water.

iPhone SE 2020 Screen.

The 4.7-inch Retina screen with a wide color spectrum of True Tone technology was the pattern for iPhone SE 2020 design, which helps you to change or adjust the ambient light. With 1334 x 750 pixels the resolution is the same as for iPhone 8, so it is not a complete HD screen. It also have HDR 10 compatibility and Dolby Vision.

No 3D Touch is available here as it was on an iPhone 8. Instead Haptic Touch is enabled in the iPhone SE for various Fast Actions. This involves pre-selection and reorganization of messages and shifting the cursor around in text fields.

Cameras for iPhone SE 2020.

It is not just an impression with the recycled camera. A 12MP sensor with an f/1,8 aperture close to that of an iPhone XR has been mounted on the latest iPhone SE, and Apple insists this is the best single sensor feature ever. This is because the iPhone SE uses the bionic A13 image signal processor and neural drivers to give device photography advantages that iPhone 8 or even iPhone XR cannot achieve.

In Portrait mode, for example, you get six portrait lighting effects and can change the strength of the depth. Because of the semantic representation, Apple can do so without two lenses.

The iPhone SE begins with 64 GB of capacity, but upgrades to 128 GB or 256 GB was provided. So far as RAM is concerned, Apple rarely mention the specs of the devices, but the iPhone SE is 3 GB according to 9to5Mac. According to a Chinese distributor who leaked the details.

Battery life and charging for iPhone SE 2020.

The iPhone SE will have the same lifetime of battery as the iPhone 8 which has a web usage period of 12 hours. But we will have to see how long this smartphone will last with our own battery check, which involves constant 4G LTE web browsing, in order to figure out if the new iPhone SE will make our best battery life list.

The good news is the quick charging of 18W for the iPhone SE 2020, but you need the connector to spring as the inbox charger only supports 5W. The iPhone SE allows Qi wireless charging.

TikTok CEO begs Instagram, Facebook to assist in reverting TikTok ban

TikTok CEO begs Instagram, Facebook to assist in reverting TikTok ban

Till the end, ‘We will continue to challenge the unjust executive order’

TikTok’s interim CEO, Vanessa Pappas, is urging Facebook and Instagram to “publicly join our challenge and support our litigation,” as TikTok faces a new executive order from the Trump administration that will prevent people from downloading the app beginning September 20th.

The new order was issued by the Department of Commerce on Friday morning, and it clearly states that people are not longer allowed to download TikTok or WeChat beginning on the 20th. For now, TikTok will be active in the United States for people who already have the app installed, but future downloads will be prevented.

Pappas’ call to action came in the form of a reply to a tweet by Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, who said that a “US TikTok ban would be quite bad for Instagram, Facebook, and the internet more broadly.” Pappas added that it’s a moment “to put aside our competition and focus on core principles like freedom of expression and due process of law.” Pappas’ prompt comes at a time when rumors are swirling that Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom is in talks to replace recently departed TikTok CEO Kevin Mayer.

The Trump administration called for a TikTok ban earlier this year due to data security concerns. The administration demanded that ByteDance sell its US operations to an American company by September 15th or TikTok would be banned entirely. In the meantime, the administration and ByteDance are reportedly working with Oracle to secure a deal.

TikTok issued a statement following the Department of Commerce’s order, insisting that the company has already “committed to unprecedented levels of additional transparency and accountability well beyond what other apps are willing to do.” The statement says that TikTok plans to work with an American tech provider, which would “be responsible for maintaining and operating the TikTok network in the US, which would include all services and data serving US consumers.”

“We will continue to challenge the unjust executive order, which was enacted without due process and threatens to deprive the American people and small businesses across the US of a significant platform for both a voice and livelihoods.”

Realme 7 Fast-on review

Realme 7 Fast-on review

The Realme 6 is a phone dropped about six months ago, more reason why it isn’t a full-fledged, generational upgrade. But, a few new things comes in that should elevate the user experience quite a bit. For instance, the new Realme 7 comes with a generous 5,000 mAh battery instead of the 4,300 mAh found on Realme 6 and there’s also the TÜV Rheinland Smartphone Reliability Verification.

The Realme 7 is the first smartphone to come with it but it’s still unclear what this certification will be conforming.

The new MediaTek Helio G95 gaming-centric chipset is also on the list of new features, and as MediaTek detailed, it can hardly be called an upgrade compared to the G90. Looking more like an upgrade – just like the Realme 7 itself. There might be a little increase in GPU performance due to the higher clocks, but that’s pretty something bigger Oh, and there are new paint jobs as well.

Realme 7 specs

Body: 162.3 x 75.4 x 9.4 mm, 197g; Front glass, plastic body
Screen: 6.5″ IPS LCD, FHD+ (1080 x 2400px) resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 405 ppi
Camera: Primary: 64MP Quad-Bayer, f/1.8 aperture, 0.8µm pixel size, 1/1.72″ sensor size; Ultra-wide: 8MP, f/2.3 aperture, 1.12µm pixel size, 1/4″ sensor size; Macro: 2MP f/2.4, 1.75µm pixel size, 1/5″ sensor size; Depth sensor: 2MP mono camera
Front camera: 16MP f/2.0 aperture
Chipset: Mediatek Helio G95 (12nm): octa-core (2×2.05 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55), Mali-G76 MC4 (900MHz) GPU
Memory: 6GB/64GB, 8GB/128GB, expandable via microSD card
OS: Android 10, Realme UI
Battery: 5,000 mAh, 30W Dart Charge
Connectivity: 4G LTE; Dual SIM; Dual-band Wi-Fi, Buetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C 2.0
Misc:Side-mounted fingerprint reader
Hardware-wise, those are the only differences compared to the Realme 6. However, the young smartphone maker has a couple of new features in store for us as well. The camera comes with a Starry Mode and even though this hardly constitutes an upgrade, Realme insists that the shift from Samsung’s 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor to Sony’s IMX682 has allowed them to introduce an upgrade to the 64MP mode.

Moving deeper into the Realme 7, though, we didn’t have the device for too long, it already felt pretty familiar. It’s a refreshed Realme 6, after all.

How to preorder the PS5, when available again

How to preorder the PS5, when available again

The competition is mad crazy, but there’s a way to get it

Sony’s PlayStation 5 will be launching on November 12th in the US pricing from $399.99. That price will buy you the digital edition of the console which doesn’t have a Blu-ray disc drive. If you want a disc drive for playing disc-based PS5 games, 4K Blu-ray movies, and PS4 games that may end up being compatible, you’ll need to go for the higher version of the console that has sells for $499.

Preorders are now available, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be get one. The stock that was available at retailers like Amazon, GameStop, Best Buy, Target, Sam’s Club, and Walmart came and went incredibly fast. It’s been a whole fiasco. Some stores have preorders in stock down the line so you might want to check back from time to time to see if you have any luck.

To keep you posted on when it’s fully available, we’ll try to updated you with news of more stock coming to retailers — like how Walmart just added another batch of pre-orders at 6PM PT / 9PM ET.

PlayStation 5 (with disc drive): Amazon, Walmart, GameStop, Target, Best Buy, B&H Photo, Sam’s Club
PlayStation 5 (with disc drive): Amazon, Walmart, GameStop, Target, Best Buy, B&H Photo, Sam’s Club

PlayStation 5 (digital edition without disc drive): Buy on Amazon, Walmart, GameStop, Best Buy, Target, Sam’s Club

Note that stock has been selling out very quickly, so on the off-chance you get a console in your cart, I highly recommend placing the order.
