Huawei Enjoy Z 5G Review

Huawei Enjoy Z 5G has just been announced by Huawei in its home country China. The device is the first 5G smartphone from the company that is not runned by the Kirin processor.

Rather, it consists of the latest MediaTek’s Dimensity 800 5G processor. This latest Dimensity 800 is for reasonable price of 5G phones. The phone comes with a price tag of $238 and it contains a surprising functions on the hood.

Design and Display

The Huawei Enjoy Z 5G is an affordable device that is developed with glass and plastic both on the frame. It has a gradient back where the cameras are situated, an LED flash while the fingerprint scanner is located the side.

It is lite to hold as it weighs 182 grams and measures 160 x 75.3 x 8.4 mm in dimensions. On the front, the screen size is 6.5-inch display including a Dewdrop notch at the top for the selfie shooter.

Huawei reported that the screen, with its 2400 x 1080 resolution and 90Hz refresh rate, contains a 91.2% ratio of screen-to-body. It also has a 180Hz touch sampling rate.

Huawei Enjoy Z 5G Camera

The Huawei Enjoy Z 5G comes with a triple back camera model. The camera includes a 48 MP that contains an f/1.8 aperture and it comes inline with a 2MP f/2.4 4CM macro camera plus an 8MP f/2.4 super wide-angle shooter.

The camera contains an Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) for smoother videos as was claimed by Huawei. Other functions are 10x digital zoom, macro mode, beauty mode and a night scene mode. The selfie shooter is a 16MP f/2.0 camera.

Hardware and Software

Checking out the budget Huawei 5G smartphone is an 800 processor MediaTek’s Dimensity which has a 7nm chip with 4 x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and 4 x Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.0GHz.

At the inside is the GPU of a NATT MC4. Considering the memory, it’s available in three model. They are 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB.

It has a provision for storage expansion through a NanoMemory card slot which is up to 256GB. In case you don’t have idea, Huawei is not the only company that developes NM cards. Lexer also developes an NM card that begins with $28 for 64GB storage.

Battery and Network

The Huawei Enjoy Z 5G comes with a 4000mAh battery inside with a provision for a 22.5W fast charge. It has 4G and 5G network plus other connectivity such as Bluetooth 5.1, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, OTP support and Dual-SIM support.

It runs on Android 10 with EMUI 10.1 out of the box with other functions like Knuckle Screenshot, smart collage feature in the Gallery app preinstalled and a Bluetooth Easy Connect with Huawei Freebuds 3.

Huawei Enjoy Z 5G Price and Release

The Huawei Enjoy Z 5G will be sold at a price of $238 for 64GB model, 6GB+128GB version will be for $266, and the higher 8GB+128GB will go for $308.

In Nigeria, the smartphone is said to be sold at a price of 99,000 Naira, 28,000 Ksh in Kenya and 1,500 Ghs in Ghana. The colors available for it’s orders are Dark Blue, Magic Night Black colors and Sakura Snow Clear Sky.

My weekend was more about the Star Wars kick sit view, watching The Empire Strikes Back, Rogue One, and The Last Jedi, keept me on seat till the great news of a new trailer for The Mandalorian’s second season came in.

Realme 7 Ready For Full Review

How Realme managed to increase sales of their products during the pandemic remains facinating. Observing its latest lineup probably tells it will be able to maintain the momentum in the second half. One reason for that to happen is the arrival of the Realme 7 – a new phone with mind-blowing specs and an aggressive price tag.

Our unit comes in with a Mist Blue color and it looks quite beautiful for a phone in these price segments. The back has a two-tone finish with the two parts not only differing in their colors, but also in the way they reflect light.

Realme 7 Ready For Full Review

The front is has a tall LCD, while the fingerprint scanner is on the right side. There is a single punch hole in the top left corner.

The phone support 30W fast charging, as seen by the charger in the box. Realme hasn’t announced a fancy name of the standard like the SuperVOOC 2.0 rebranded into SuperDart, but it is the familiar VOOC 4.0 technology. Realme promises a full charge of the ample 5,000mAh battery in 65 minutes.
