Amazfit X device Review in Bit

Amazfit is a product of Huami, popular for it’s wearables and earbuds. Its latest inventory is called Amazfit X and is a smart band with a curved display. This futuristic-looking device was crowdfunded at Indiegogo and so far delivered nearly $2 million from 12,000 people.

Though the design is unusual for big manufacturers, the project is looks a success, and we got the inch to review it and to determine whether Amazfit has just build the next big thing.

We got a circular box with the X wrapped around what appears to be a charging stand. It appears lovely but tremendously sophisticated. Upon closer inspection, we observed you can detach it and use it as a regular proprietary charger.

Firstly, we noticed the really long screen that merges seamlessly with the rubber bands.

Because of the form of the Amazfit X, the straps aren’t standard, but the best thing is there is an extra strap in the box for bigger wrists.

We couldn’t find a physical buttons but it has two sensors, one on each side. When pressed simultaneously (essentially squeezing the band), it powers on and we were presented with the UI. Thanks to the tall display, there is plenty of info at glance – that was the main goal for Amazfit after all.

Also, the X has everything you might need from a smartband – weather updates (synchronized with the phone), music controls, a few sports that can be tracked and recorded. There’s also heart rate sensor, SpO2 sensor, stress detection, and Amazfit says it could track heart-related issues. Hopefully, our X stays silent on this topic.

We can say for sure that it’s a unique-looking device that promises a lot. We have to complete the full review to determine how the battery is lasts, can it be used for sports, and if Amazfit fixed its app, which could use some work last time we tried it.

You can order the Amazfit X on Indiegogo for $329. It’s certainly high in price for a smartband, but it’s no ordinary device either, so it might well be worth it.

Tech gaints Apple unveiled four new devices this week – two watches and a tablet but none made it to the top of our trending chart

The Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max will have to wait till two months to hit the shelves. Surprisingly people are already asking about it.

The Poco X3 NFC comes down in second with the new iPad Air rounding up the top three. An amazing achievement for a tablet, but then it’s hardly a surprise that people want to check the first Apple A14 chipset device.

YOUR HONOR

Bryan Cranston comes back to television (yaaaaay!) in a series about a judge whose son gets tuggled in a hit-and-run. Turns out the person his son hit and killed was the son of a local crime lord. Just how bad the Breaking Bad tables now looks?, Walter White. Your Honor debuts on Showtime in December.

THE TRIAL OF THE CHICAGO 7

We both have been anticipating this for a While now: The Aaron Sorkin-directed drama about the trial of a group of anti-Vietnam War protesters accused of trying to incite riots at the 1968 Democratic National Convention. Sacha Baron Cohen remains a supper choice to act as the activist Abbie Hoffman; the rest of the cast includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Keaton, Frank Langella, and Eddie Redmayne, so, you know, not newbies. The Trial of the Chicago 7 will be available for streaming and download on Netflix by October 16th.
