Galaxy A52 and A72 is said to come with top refresh rate displays, A52 5G gets IP67 rating too

Samsung will soon officially launch its new mid-ranger A-series, the Galaxy A52 and A72, along with their 5G-capable models. We’ve seen a lot of rumors about them recently as we’re nearing their release, and the latest one today disproves some of the past mumblings.

What this says, explicitly, is that both the Galaxy A52 and A72 will have 90 Hz screens, while the A52 5G will get a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It is assumed that the variance is attributed to the choice of the chipset.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720 will power both 4G variants of the A52 and A72, while the A52 5G will have the more strong Snapdragon 750 5G SoC at the helm.

The 4G A52 with a 60 Hz refresh rate was specifically stated in a previous article from yesterday, so we are confused. But when going through a lot of rumors in a short space of time, that isn’t surprising. I hope Samsung eventually agrees to make these official soon enough, and then we’ll see what’s going on.

The source of today’s refresh rate based rumor has also once again repeated the rest of the specs of the Galaxy A52 5G.

Expect to see a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED center-hole-punch screen, 6/8GB of RAM, 128/256Gb of memory, a 12 MP ultra-wide 64 MP key rear cam, a 5 MP macro cam, and a 5 MP depth sensor, a 32 MP face snapper, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 25W fast charging battery of 4,500 mAh. The phone can run Android 11 out of the box with One UI 3.1.

According to a newly leaked sample video, the Galaxy A52 5G will also be IP67 water and dust resistant. That’s an uncommon feature to see in a mid-ranger, and we’re hoping this will launch a trend in the mobile industry that will then reverberate.

The speculated price for this variant is around EUR 450, and the LTE version could go for about $ 400.
